Apr. 26--At 6 this morning, Gregg "Opie" Hughes and Anthony Cumia were back on "terrestrial" radio, replacing David Lee Roth, who tried to replace Howard Stern.
WFAN's Don Imus, himself a radio legend, phoned in some welcoming words: "You'd be throwing up and you'd still be better than what they had!"
A bit later, the discussion turned to talk that Philadelphia's WYSP (90.1 FM) was so excited to have them back, the station was sending up its own welcome committee.
But Cumia, who was suffering from a cold, groaned they were sure to bring cheesesteaks, which are so "cliche." Hughes shared some of his memories about ...
