HONG Kong suspended beef imports from Cargill Meat Solutions April 7 after a piece of bone was found in a box of boned beef shipped from the company's plant in Dodge City, Kan.
The second such problem for an American meatpacking company has prompted the National Meat Assn. (NMA) to conclude that it definitely is not business as usual in international boneless beef trade.
