Apr. 26--James Batt, one of Phuket's best-known hoteliers, has resigned after 10 years with Laguna Resorts & Hotels Plc (LRH) to take up a new position with a hotel company in San Diego, California.
Mr Batt said the decision to leave LRH was a family one.
LRH chairman Ho Kwon Ping said Mr Batt had been instrumental in turning a deserted tin mine into a vibrant property.
