Apr. 27--WATERBURY -- A Superior Court jury is expected to begin deliberations today on the fate of Keith M. Foster, one of eight people charged in connection with the 1997 kidnapping, gang rape and murder of 13-year-old Maryann Measles of New Milford. The state contends that the group wanted to silence the girl after she went to police to file statutory rape complaints against Foster and another man. Testimony in Foster's trial ended Wednesday, and Judge Thomas V. O'Keefe began instructing the jury on the law.
