Article: Fitch Rates Rhode Island Convention Center Authority's $93MM Revenue Bonds 'AA-'.

NEW YORK -- Fitch Ratings has assigned an underlying 'AA-' rating to the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority's (the authority) $92.5 million civic center revenue bonds, 2006 series A. The bonds are being issued under a November 2005 resolution to fund the acquisition and renovation of the Dunkin Donuts Center (formerly known as the Providence Civic Center), which is located adjacent to the convention center in Providence. The 2006 series A bonds will be insured by Financial Security Assurance Inc. (FSA), whose insurer financial strength is rated 'AAA' by Fitch. The bonds are expected by negotiation through a syndicate led by Merrill Lynch & Co. the week of May 1.
