Each month, we'll look at what area golfers are buying, as reflected by sales over the past 90 days at Fiddler's Green Golf Center, the highest-volume golf retailer in Oregon.
This month, we look at "hybrid" clubs, currently "the hottest category in the golf industry from the standpoint of sales growth," according to Fiddler's Green manager Alan Whalen. "The primary reason is that most golfers (of all abilities) can benefit by putting a hybrid in their bag in place of a standard long iron."
