LONDON, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Work Foundation today announces the start of a major three-year, GBP1.5 million research programme into the nature of the knowledge economy - the biggest investigation of its kind anywhere in the world. The project aims to identify what the knowledge economy is, and how advanced nations can use knowledge and information to spearhead economic growth and competitiveness in the 21st century.
To lead the programme, the Work Foundation has recruited Ian Brinkley, formerly chief economist at the TUC.
