WASHINGTON, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 60 million American children and adults have asthma and allergies. Over the past two decades, prevalence rates for these diseases have doubled causing 2 million emergency room visits, 500,000 hospitalizations and 5,000 deaths each year.
