THE ding-dong Anglo-Spanish corporate land grab war opened on another front today as Britain's yellow pages giant Yell bought up its Iberian equivalent for [pounds sterling]2.3 billion.
Yell has snapped up Telefonica Publicidad e Informacion in a deal that increases the company's size by more than half again and which will see its debt more than double to [pounds sterling]4 billion.
Yell is taking the TPI yellow pages directories and internet search businesses off the hands of Spanish telecoms monopoly Telefonica, which has been in the vanguard-of recent Spanish raids on Britain.
