Apr. 28--The chic man or woman adapts fashion to his or her personality.
Just look in your closet.
And so it is with Atlanta-based Oxford Industries, which has brought pizazz into its closet of apparel brands with Tommy Bahama, Ben Sherman and Arnold Brant.
The purchase of those brands -- with snazzy profit margins to boot -- has transformed a slow-growing 64-year-old maker of private-label apparel into an emerging fashion powerhouse. Sales have increased at an annual rate of 25 percent over the past three years, while per-share earnings have risen at a 60 percent annual clip.
