For weeks, the Broncos have preached the power of flexibility in this year's NFL draft.
They needed to position themselves for the inevitable helping of the unexpected as the picks began to unfold.
Friday night, they, and the rest of the league, got the most unexpected twist of all when the Houston Texans bypassed Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, who most teams had pegged as the top player in the draft, to sign North Carolina State defensive end Mario Williams.
As a formality, Williams will be the first pick today, and then the fun will begin.
