PROJECT OVERVIEW
The local SAUDI INTERNATIONAL PETROCHEMICALS CO. (SIPCHEM) is currently involved in the construction of a new petrochemical complex at its existing petrochemical complex in Jubail Industrial City. In so doing construction contracts were recently awarded to:
FLUOR CANADA LTD., a subsidiary of US-based FLUOR CORP., for building: - An acetic acid plant with an installed production capacity of 460,000 tons per year (t/y); - A 300,000 t/y vinyl acetate facility; - The common utilities for the compound.
A German/French joint venture that teams up LURGI AG & AIR LIQUIDE have also been awarded a contract. According to the terms of ...
