May 01--PRESTON -- The attorney representing Wabasha County in an appeal of a decision to convert the county attorney position from full time to part time is seeking to have the case dismissed.
Peter Bergstrom, the attorney hired the county, presented oral arguments this morning in support of a motion to dismiss the appeal during a telephone conference call to Judge Robert Benson in Fillmore District Court. The appeal is being handled there instead of Wabasha District Court to avoid any conflict of interest.
