Slow economy, new regulations create challenge
WILLOWDALE, Ontario--Shoppers Drug Mart is Canada's largest drug chain, but its success is partly due to its ability to operate each store as if it were an independent.
"We have 700 entrepreneurs--I call them 'in-trepreneurs'--who are responsible for this company's success," says chairman and chief executive officer David Bloom.
