USAir has named NYT Custom Publishing as publisher of USAir's signature monthly starting with its January issue. The in-flight, which has been produced by several publishers over three-year terms since 1979--most recently by Greensboro, North Carolina-based Pace Communications--will have a different focus with its latest staff, according to William Adler, a spokesman for The New York Times Company. Although many articles will be commissioned, the editorial mix will include columns from The New York Times syndicate and such New York Times magazines as Child, Tennis and Golf Digest.
