Federal judge says Medicaid covers wraparound, therapeutic foster care.(Child Protection Law Abstracts)

The state must provide wraparound services and therapeutic foster care services under Medicaid, a federal judge ruled in a significant victory in a three-year-old class action suit. Judge A. Howard Matz granted a motion for a preliminary injunction in Katie A. v. Bonta, which has sought home- and community-based mental health services for neglected and abused children in lieu of keeping them in hospitals and large group homes.
