What do the two words conjure in your mind?
Anoka County initiated a study of more than 1,100 residents to learn about their beliefs, knowledge and attitudes on mental health. The results will be used to better educate and serve residents.
For years, county services have been a safety net for people with severe mental illness. Anoka County wants to use that knowledge base to get ahead of mental health issues before they become too serious, said Bill Pinsonnault, county director of community social services and mental health.
