A bi-partisan measure was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives in mid-September, lauding the economic, environmental and "good works" contributions to the industry.
The legislation designates October 3-10, 1993, as "Great American Beer Week."
The dates (October 3-10) chosen for the Congressional resolution coincide with the Great American Beer Festival to be held in Denver, CO, October 8-9, said Congressman Dan Schaefer, (R-CO).
"Brewers provide good jobs for millions of American men and women and have a presence in every state of the union," said Schaefer in prepared remarks for a House floor speech late Wednesday.
