MILWAUKEE _ This is Hank Aaron's town. Babe Ruth's home run mark is being threatened. The two legends have been on the minds and lips of baseball all spring. But let's pause to pay tribute to the player many think was greater than either:
Willie Mays.
As in all cities with deep National League roots, Mays left his mark here. In the parking lot outside Miller Park, at the site of old County Stadium, Mays had what he called the "greatest day of my career."
