May 5--WHAT MAY BE BASEBALL'S best double play combination -- certainly its most creative -- caught the nation's attention a year ago with a play that wasn't even a double play.
If we could, we would replay you a video of the moment and, even if you had seen it twice, three times or 100 times, you would still marvel at how the impossible became possible.
Jack Wilson was at shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Jose Castillo at second. A ground ball was slashed back through the middle. The two infielders broke for the ball, Wilson being the only one with even a chance to get a glove on it.
