FRED RUBIN, WHOSE ACE MUSIC of Miami was the original nucleus of the now-defunct MARS Music, has filed suit against Guitar Center, Korg USA, JBL, Mackie, St. Louis Music, Tascam, Telex, and Yamaha, alleging conspiracy, restraint of trade, deceptive practices, and breach of contract. The suit, which is seeking class action status on behalf of other music and audio retailers, seeks $1.0 billion in damages from the eight named companies.
