SCHOOL LESSONS on stone age men notwithstanding, Australian Aborigines and Ancient Britons do not immediately spring to mind as cultural brothers and sisters. However, reading the earlier chapters of Francis Pryor's two volumes on British prehistory, Britain BC: Life in Britain and Ireland before the Romans and Britain AD: A Quest for Arthur, England and the Anglo-Saxons, the likeness was compelling.
There was similar hunting for game in a fairly organised way, semi-nomadic moving around with the seasons within a limited but much loved territory, shelter made from nature's materials without mechanical help (though not usually living in caves), ceremonial dances, ...
