THE Republic of the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have long had close diplomatic and people-to-people relations. Aside from the Kingdom being a major destination of our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), it is the Philippines' 12th largest trading partner, with the most valuable import of the Philippines being the primary produce of the Kingdom - oil. The Kingdom has also been a steady supporter of peace and development efforts in Mindanao, providing funds for many development projects on the island.
