HONIARA, May 5 Asia Pulse - The Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) says the country's export sector is projected to increase in 2006 despite the recent riots, Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation reports.
In its 2006 forecast, the bank said it appears that apart from fires at the Russell Islands Plantation Estates, the export sector was not affected by the recent disturbances.
The bank also noted palm oil production is expected to come on stream in the second half of the year.
