Very little went as expected for Willamette Valley players in rounds four through seven of the NFL draft on Sunday.
The fact that Oregon receiver Demetrius Williams was even available when the day began was a mild surprise. Oregon State's Mike Hass, the Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top receiver last fall, slipped into the sixth round. Ducks tight end Tim Day went undrafted, and UO cornerback Justin Phinisee was preparing himself for the same fate when a team he had never spoken with snagged him in the final round.
