May 6--Moss- and bluet-covered paths are one of the few human touches in Ellis "Cam" and Mildred "Sissy" Stewart's wilderness garden.
"It's a natural habitat for everybody," Mr. Stewart said. "It's very natural, and yet the paths make it easy to get around."
Classic garden tours often feature manicured formal spaces or elaborate, exotic plantings.
Last month, an unusual, new garden tour took root in Monteagle, Tenn.
Wildflower Garden Rambles showed off three gardens with plants that are native to the Cumberland Plateau and unusual landscape designs in harmony with nature.
