MORE than 1,000 nuclear test veterans are to sue the Ministry of Defence following new evidence which they claim proves they and their children have suffered serious illness or death as a result of being exposed to radiation.
For more than 50 years, the ex-servicemen have failed to win compensation despite horrendous medical problems they claim are the result of nuclear tests in the South Pacific, mainly on Christmas Island, in the Fifties and Sixties.
