Guidelines for registration of 12 crops finalised: PPV&FRA
New Delhi, May 5 (PTI) The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Right (PPV&FR) Authority today finalised guidelines for registration of 12 crops, which would go a long way in protecting the interests of farmers and breeders.
The authority, established by Ministry of Agriculture to implement the PPV&FR Act, 2001, has also set up a task force to prepare modalities for registration of additional 13 commercial crops like oilseeds, cotton and sugarcane.
