Over the years I've tried any number of different motorcycle covers, or what passed as covers. Those in the make-do category included bedsheets and those ubiquitous blue tarps (also known as "Katrina roofs"). Most of these fail miserably as covers, plus they scratch windshields and paint when they flap around. These failed experiments reinforced what I learned early: Use what works, take advantage of the fact that someone else did all the experimenting.
