Sunday was getaway day for the Twins, so bags of equipment and clothes filled the narrow walkways of the Metrodome clubhouse.
The Twins had just beaten the Tigers 4-2, and Michael Cuddyer was picking his way through the bags to his locker, fresh bandages on his knees and right elbow making him look like a Harley rider who had just tested the abrasive properties of asphalt.
If he had his way, he would renew acquaintances with gauze every day. At 27, his big-league career has been more about sunflower seeds on the bench than blood on the field, and unlike Jesse Ventura, Cuddyer thinks he has plenty of time to ...
