Humility is not one of Willie Mays' strong suits. I'm referring to Bob Costas' HBO interview wherein he asks Willie how he rates himself with Barry Bonds. Willie says, "Barry couldn't throw with me, probably not able to run with me."
Then Willie says, "Let's give him hitting." Barry hit 73 home runs in 2001. "Don't think I could hit 73 home runs," he said. "Say Hey" (Mays) ...
