May 09, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Budget allocates some money towards the fight against global crime. The Australian Treasurer, Peter Costello, handed down the Budget on 9 May 2006. The University of Wollongong will get $A12 million from the Budget. This will go to the University's Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention, which was set up in 2000.
