May 10--When planner and architect Steve Chidester looks over 390 acres of the Parker Flats area of Fort Ord, he sees thickets of scrub oak, a sand pit and chaparral-covered fields giving way to turfed paddocks, ponds, riding rings and other amenities of an elegant, world-class facility for equestrian sports. "You can't go wrong with a piece of property like this," he said. "The site and location are perfect."
