PEOPLE for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has launched a new publicity effort against kosher meat processor Agriprocessors Inc. that PETA said will be taken to the Jewish community worldwide.
The campaign stems from PETA's undercover investigation of the company's plant and slaughtering practices in 2004 and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's release of a report on its own investigation of the plant last year in response to PETA's charges.
