TOKYO, May 10 Asia Pulse - Daiwa Seiko Inc. (TSE:7990) aims to expand sales of fishing gear in the U.S. by opening a business office on the East Coast.
The company has a subsidiary on the West Coast, in California, but fishing is also popular in the eastern region and the preferred styles of fishing are different.
Daiwa Seiko will open as early as June an office in North Carolina with a staff of 10-20 people who will provide customer service and manage R&D in addition to promoting sales.
To further boost sales, the company will begin importing cost-competitive gear from its own factories in Vietnam and China. Until now, ...
