May 10--CRESTVIEW -- After briefly considering the issue, the city won't be hiring a manager.
During the past few decades, the proposal has occasionally been raised, only to be rejected by the City Council or voters.
The situation was no different on Monday when the council declined to ask voters whether they wanted a city manager.
Council President Ellis Conner said he thought Crestview was in good hands with department heads responsible for their individual departments and reporting issues to council members.
