Alternative country singer-songwriter Guy Clark says he likes to include at least one Townes Van Zandt song on each of his albums.
On his latest album, "The Dark," that song is "Rex's Blues," which joins 11 other songs Clark co-wrote.
Clark has written music recorded by such country music greats as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Rita Coolidge, George Strait and Vince Gill, but some of the best renditions of his songs have been his own, his bio states.
You'll have the chance to see Clark live during his return to the Shedd on Saturday.
