May 10--NORWALK -- Saying he wants his company to be part of the "solution to the city's transportation needs," Eveready Transportation owner Vito Bochicchio Jr. announced on Tuesday that he was granted five licenses to operate taxis in Norwalk.
Bochicchio requested 35 licenses from the state Department of Transportation last fall to enter the Norwalk taxi market, which already includes Norwalk Taxi and Norwalk Yellow Cab. After a series of public hearings the DOT made its decision earlier this week.
