May 12--A Superior Court judge cut short murder defendant Susan Polk's questioning of a witness Thursday, during another day filled with objections and mistrial motions by Polk, and warnings from the judge.
Judge Laurel Brady's ruling came during the third day of Polk's questioning of Lafayette resident Marjorie Briner, who housed Polk's son Gabriel after his father's death and mother's arrest.
Prosecutors say Polk, 48, killed her 70-year-old husband in the midst of a bitter divorce. She has said she killed him in self-defense after an abusive marriage.
