May 12--With volleyball powerhouses such as past state champions Southwest Miami and Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons competing, Lake Howell will be a relatively unknown name at the state tournament today at Timber Creek.
The Silver Hawks, out of district play for the first time in school history, are looking to change that.
They will face off against Bishop Moore today at 5:30 in the state quarterfinals, ultimately determining Central Florida's best volleyball team. The two teams haven't met this season.
