May 12--MIDDLETOWN -- Drury Inn & Suites is slowly becoming a reality on Middletown's East End.
More than three years after city officials first examined a proposal to build a five-story hotel on the site of what was once a Ponderosa restaurant, dirt is being moved and a crane is in place near Towne Boulevard and Village Drive just north of Ohio 122.
Bonnie Brown, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis-based hotel chain, said the 120-room hotel should be open by summer 2007.
The hotel will feature a number of rooms that will be joined as two-room suites, Brown said. All rooms will have microwave ovens and refrigerators, ...
