May 14--Hello, friends and neighbors. It is good to see you here.
One of my co-workers remarked this week that Mother's Day is a national holiday in the South (he's from the South so, duh?) and rightly so. There are some things in the South that are sacred, that you just don't mess with, and one of those is mothers. There are others -- such as a man's wife, his children, his dog, his truck, his God and his country -- but, for today, it's mothers. You mess with a Southern man or woman's mother and those are fighting words. You do so at your own peril.
My husband, Brit, did not tolerate swearing or any kind of vulgar ...
