This stoneware platter shown in Stars magazine Sunday was incorrectly identified as the work of Daphne Verley Pietrafesa. The platter was created by Syracuse ceramist David MacDonald.

You might not think the ceramic works of David MacDonald and Daphne Verley Pietrafesa have much in common. MacDonald's earth-toned clay vessels are a subdued contrast to Pietrafesa's exuberantly colorful plates and vases.
