May 13--Thailand is a promising market for radio frequency identification (RFID) products due to a large number of industrial products that require efficient supply-chain management in the country, according to Symbol Technologies Inc, a bar codes and RFID solution provider.
RFID is the next generation of bar-code technology. It enables a reader to sense any tags within its range by using a specific radio frequency while bar codes require the reader to be in the line of sight of each individual tag in order to scan it.
