STERIOD TESTING BILL EXPECTED TO DIE: A bill (HB 1003) requiring all of Florida's high-school athletes to submit to drug tests to check for steroid abuse was approved by the state Senate's Education Committee, but the bill is expected to languish because it has to pass through four more committees before going to the full Senate and the legislative session ends in about two weeks, according to published reports.
