ALMOST 100 of the world's top cyclists will race across London, from Greenwich to The Mall via Hampstead, in this year's Tour of Britain.
It is the first time that the annual sixstage event will take a route which includes the suburbs as well as the city centre on a 50-mile trip.
In this year's last leg the elite riders will complete 20 laps of St James's Park, with the winner claiming the coveted yellow jersey at the finish in front of Buckingham Palace.
Previous races have all been confined to central London.
