- Infrastructure group MMC Corp Bhd is teaming up with the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to take private Malaysia's biggest independent power producer, Malakoff Bhd, in a mega deal worth over RM9.2 billion, sources said.
- Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) recorded RM1.95 billion net profit for the nine months ended March 31 2006, a marginal 1 per cent increase from the RM1.94 billion reported in the last corresponding period.
