Slovak gas utility SPP notes 1% drop in net profit to SKK 20.6 bln in 2005
PRAGUE. MAY 16. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Slovak gas utility Slovenky plynarensky priemysel (SPP) saw its net profits decrease to SKK 20.6 bln last year from SKK 21.6 bln in 2004, according to figures released by SPP representatives after Tuesday's general meeting.
SPP board chairman Philippe Boucly said in a statement that the financial results achieved in 2005 were satisfactory despite a challenging environment especially influenced by a dramatic increase in oil prices.
