China's alumina production capacity to reach 30 mn tonnes
Beijing, May 16 (PTI) China's alumina production capacity is expected to hit a record 30 million tonnes in 2010.
Speaking at a conference on China's alumina industry, Vice Chairman of the China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, Pan Jiazhu said that alumina production capacity in the country has been growing rapidly since the beginning of this year.
By the end of 2005, the alumina production capacity of the Aluminium Corporation of China, the leading aluminium producer in the country, reached 8.86 million tonnes, and this figure would reach 9.31 million tonnes by the end of 2006, he ...
