May 17--Whoever succeeds Morgan County District Court Judge David Bibb must be willing to work hard and sometimes long hours.
Three candidates are vying for the Republican nomination for the Place 2 judgeship and two are competing for the Democratic title in the June 6 primary elections.
Paul Matthews, chief assistant district attorney, Charles Langham and Shelly Slate Waters are the GOP candidates, and Catherine Phillips Halbrooks and Kevin Denver Teague are vying for the Democratic nomination.
The District Court judgeship handles traffic, criminal, small claims, civil, juvenile and child support cases.
